Ynys is a Welsh indie-pop project led by singer-songwriter Dylan Hughes, formerly of the band Race Horses. Hailing from Wales, Ynys blends melodic pop with introspective lyrics, often incorporating elements of psychedelia. Notable singles include "Aros Am Byth" and "Shindig," capturing the essence of Welsh culture and language. Their self-titled debut album, Ynys (2022), has been well-received for its lush soundscapes and thoughtful songwriting. Ynys has performed at notable venues across the UK and has supported bands like Super Furry Animals on tour, making a significant mark on the Welsh music scene.
