The Virginmarys are a powerful rock duo hailing from Macclesfield, UK, known for their raw, high-energy sound and socially conscious lyrics. Formed in 2009, the band quickly gained attention with their fierce blend of alternative rock, punk, and blues influences. Their debut album, King of Conflict (2013), was met with critical acclaim, earning comparisons to iconic bands like Nirvana and The Clash. Tracks like “Dead Man’s Shoes” and “Just a Ride” showcase their gritty guitar riffs, thunderous rhythms, and impassioned vocal delivery.
Renowned for their electrifying live shows, The Virginmarys have toured extensively, sharing stages with acts like Slash, Skunk Anansie, and Eagles of Death Metal, as well as playing major UK festivals such as Download and Reading & Leeds. Their follow-up albums, including Divides (2016) and Northern Sun Sessions (2018), cemented their reputation as one of the most vital and uncompromising voices in contemporary British rock. With their relentless drive and ability to tackle themes of struggle, unity, and hope, The Virginmarys remain a standout force in the rock music scene.
