Starbenders are an Atlanta-based rock band, blending genres such as glam-rock, goth and punk.
The band, who formed in 2013 through Atlanta's underground scene, are described as "glam punk 'n' roll" with heavy influence from the 70s and 80s, combining raw rock energy with pop sensibilities. Fronted by vocalist Kimi Shelter, Starbenders quickly built a reputation in the Southeast music scene before gaining wider attention with their debut album, Heavy Petting (2016). Their follow-up releases, including Love Potions (2020) and Take Back the Night (2023), showcase their evolution toward a darker, more synth-driven edge while maintaining their raw rock foundation.
Starbenders have established a dedicated following through intense live performances and a unique, nostalgic, yet modern sound.
