СОЮ3 / SOYUZ is a creative collective originally from Minsk, Belarus, now based in Warsaw, Poland. Formed in 2017, the trio comprises composer and vocalist Alex Chumak, multi-instrumentalist Mikita Arlou, and drummer Anton Nemahai. The band's name, "SOYUZ," translates to "union," reflecting the collaborative nature of their music. Their sound is a fusion of 1970s Brazilian jazz (MPB), psychedelic soul, and avant-garde pop, drawing inspiration from artists like Milton Nascimento, Arthur Verocai, and João Gilberto. SOYUZ's music is characterized by lush instrumentation, analogue production, and a non-verbal emotional resonance that transcends language barriers.

In 2022, SOYUZ released their third album, Force of the Wind, through UK-based label Mr Bongo. The album features collaborations with Brazilian artist Sessa and Russian musician Kate NV, further expanding their international reach. Recorded during a period of political unrest and global uncertainty, the album's creation process was deeply influenced by the challenges faced by the band members. Despite these adversities, Force of the Wind showcases SOYUZ's ability to blend cultural influences and create music that resonates on a universal level.
