South Dakota-born songwriter Shawn Colvin is a defining voice in contemporary folk, celebrated for her emotional clarity, poetic lyricism and understated musical brilliance. Across a career spanning more than three decades, she has crafted songs that balance intimacy with quiet power, drawing listeners in through reflective storytelling and beautifully melodic songwriting. Colvin is best known for her Grammy Award-winning single “Sunny Came Home,” which introduced her songwriting to a global audience.
