Bristol genre-blenders SCALER fuse electronic music with drum & bass, techno, metal and hardcore, creating dark, bass-heavy soundscapes built for both the dancefloor and the live stage.

Various Brighton Venues, Brighton
Bristol's SCALER push electronic music into darker, heavier territory, blending drum & bass, techno and experimental electronics with the instincts of metal, hardcore and rock. Formed by Alex Hill, Isaac Jones, James Rushforth and Nick Berthoud alongside visual artist Jason Baker, the band have built a reputation for genre-defying music and formidable live shows.
Released in 2025, their second album, Endlessly, followed 2022's acclaimed Void and saw SCALER embrace a more collaborative approach, with contributions from artists including Art School Girlfriend, Akiko Haruna and Tlya X An. Across ten tracks, huge low-end pressure sits alongside more spacious, atmospheric passages, with moments of ambient electronics, drill, techno and heavy guitar.
SCALER's work has earned praise from the likes of Pitchfork and The Guardian, while their live reputation has seen them headline ArcTanGent and take over Glastonbury's Shangri-La. With Endlessly, they expanded their sound without putting a ceiling on where it could go next.
