Popes Of Chillitown are a six-piece ska/dub/punk band from London, England, known for their fiercely energetic, genre-defying music that pulls from ska, punk, two-tone, reggae, drum & bass, dub and even metal influences. They’ve built a reputation for live shows that crackle with high-octane energy and an eclectic sound that’s impossible to pin down — rooted in danceable grooves, punchy horns and a determined DIY spirit.
Since forming in the early 2010s, Popes Of Chillitown have released several well-received albums and EPs, including A Word To The Wise (2013), To The Moon (2015), Work Hard, Play Hard, See You in the Graveyard (2018) and Take A Picture (2023), each showcasing their adventurous blend of styles. They’ve toured extensively across the UK and Europe, sharing stages with ska and punk stalwarts such as Fishbone, Voodoo Glow Skulls and The Slackers and earning a loyal following thanks to their relentless performances.
