New Order

See the synth-pop sensations take over the Welsh capital

Having first been the poster boys for post-punk as Joy Division, New Order exploded in the 80s and became the signature sound of the synth-pop decade. Their daring fusion of early indie, Eurodisco and krautrock led to the dance music revolution, and the impact on culture can never be understated.

Darlings of the indie disco, their seven-and-a-half minute electronica epic “Blue Monday” is believed to be the best-selling 12-inch single of all time. They have scored further major international hits with singles "Confusion", "Thieves Like Us", and "The Perfect Kiss" all heard on their platinum-certified compilation album Substance 1987. New Order also scored a No. 1 single with their 1990 World Cup anthem “World in Motion” in support of England.

Now, New Order make their way to Alexandra Head at Cardiff Bay this summer to play all the songs you know and love. Tickets currently available with Gigantic.
