The Miki Berenyi Trio is the latest project from the iconic Miki Berenyi, best known as the ethereal voice and guitarist of the groundbreaking shoegaze band Lush. Formed in the 2020s, the trio sees Berenyi stepping into a more intimate and raw musical setting alongside collaborators KJ "Moose" McKillop, formerly of Moose, and drummer Oliver Cherer. Their sound retains elements of the dreamy textures and lush harmonies Berenyi is renowned for while exploring stripped-back, acoustic-leaning arrangements and introspective songwriting.
Celebrated for her distinctive voice and influential role in the 1990s alternative music scene, Berenyi brings her wealth of experience and emotive lyricism to this new chapter. The Miki Berenyi Trio has been praised for their heartfelt performances and ability to connect deeply with audiences, making them a captivating addition to the indie and alternative music landscape. With new material and live appearances gaining momentum, the trio continues to showcase Berenyi’s evolution as an artist while honouring the legacy of her celebrated career.
