Mi Casa are a South African house music trio known for their smooth fusion of jazz, soul, dance and contemporary house music. Formed in Johannesburg in 2011, the group — made up of vocalist and producer J’Something, trumpeter Mo-T and pianist/drummer Dr Duda — quickly rose to prominence with their self-titled debut album Mi Casa (2011). Featuring tracks such as “These Streets” and “Jika”, the album helped establish them as one of South Africa’s most successful crossover acts.
Renowned for their vibrant live performances, Mi Casa have toured extensively across Africa and internationally, building a strong following along the way. Their later releases, including Su Casa (2013) and We Made It (2015), further showcased their blend of uplifting house rhythms, soulful vocals and live instrumentation. With their infectious energy and genre-crossing sound, Mi Casa continue to be a major force in contemporary African dance music.
