Love Distraction are a tribute to The Human League, one of the defining names of 1980s British synth-pop. Blending live synthesisers with guitar, the band set out to capture the exact mood and feel of the originals, led by Nic Price's uncannily accurate take on frontman Phil Oakey and backed by singers stepping into the roles of Joanne Catherall and Susan Sulley.
Formed in 2017, they have toured widely across the UK, from theatres and music venues to festivals and the hugely popular 80s weekenders at Butlin's and Pontins, building a reputation for a faithful, high-energy show. Expect a set stacked with the songs that made The Human League such an enduring live draw, including "Don't You Want Me", "Love Action", "Human", "Mirror Man" and "(Keep Feeling) Fascination". It is a warm, nostalgic night that brings the shimmering synths and singalong choruses of the era back to the stage, whether you grew up with these tracks or have discovered them since.
