John Craigie has spent more than a decade building a devoted following with songs that feel close, conversational and quietly disarming. Blending folk, Americana and sharp-eyed storytelling, the Portland-based songwriter is known for live shows that balance heartfelt songwriting with a natural storyteller’s humour.
His latest album, I Swam Here (2026), released on Zabriskie Point Records, brings together the warmth of New Orleans sessions with the reflective calm of the Pacific Northwest. It follows 2024’s Pagan Church, recorded with TK & The Holy Know-Nothings, and features songs including “Fire Season”, “Dry Land” and “Edna Strange”. A seasoned touring artist, Craigie has played across the US, Europe and Australia, with festival appearances including Newport Folk Festival, Pickathon, Edmonton Folk Festival and High Sierra Music Festival.
