Jamie Cullum is a British singer-songwriter, pianist and broadcaster known for his energetic blend of jazz, pop and contemporary songwriting. Emerging in the early 2000s, Cullum gained widespread attention with the success of Twentysomething (2003), which became one of the best-selling jazz albums in UK chart history. Blending classic jazz influences with pop, rock and soul, he quickly established himself as one of the UK’s most distinctive modern jazz artists. His later releases, including Catching Tales (2005), The Pursuit (2009) and Taller (2019), further showcased his versatility as both a performer and songwriter.
Renowned for his dynamic and often unpredictable live performances, Cullum has toured extensively across the UK and internationally, appearing at major festivals including Glastonbury and Montreux Jazz Festival. Alongside his recording career, he is also well known for presenting The Jazz Show on BBC Radio 2, championing both established and emerging artists. With his virtuosic piano playing, charismatic stage presence and genre-crossing sound, Jamie Cullum remains one of the UK’s most celebrated contemporary musicians.
