Jake Vaadeland is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cut Knife, Saskatchewan, known for a lively sound rooted in traditional country, 50s rockabilly and bluegrass. Performing with The Sturgeon River Boys, he has built a reputation for foot-stomping shows that pair old-school musicianship with warm, relatable storytelling.
His album Retro Man … More and More (Expanded Edition) won Traditional Roots Album of the Year at the 2025 JUNO Awards, adding to a growing list of Canadian music honours. Vaadeland has also earned Road Gold certification for major ticket sales across Canada, collaborated with Tebey on “Wake Me Up (The Bluegrass Rendition)”, and toured with acts including Hunter Brothers and The Dead South.
