About Hudson Freeman

Hudson Freeman is a Brooklyn-based lofi-folk artist whose songs grew out of an unusual upbringing. Born in Waxahachie, Texas to Evangelical missionaries, he started writing at 13, when his family moved from the suburbs of Dallas to the Kingdom of Eswatini. College years in Springfield, Missouri and a deep love of Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver shaped the do-it-yourself, midwestern spirit he later carried to Brooklyn. His 2025 album is a Folk Artist threads faith, belonging and anxiety through warm, homespun folk, marking him out as a thoughtful storyteller for the digital age.

Freeman's profile took off when "If You Know Me" — a moody blend of bedroom pop, folk, slowcore and post-emo built around a single unforgettable riff — caught fire online, arriving in 2025 alongside a raw cover of the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses". Now signed to Mom+Pop, he followed it with the split EP Adult Contemporary, made with his friend The Bedroomer. He has since toured with Mumford & Sons, played Newport Folk Festival and sold out headline shows on both sides of the Atlantic, building a reputation for intimate, heartfelt live performances.
