Hailing from Houston, Texas, Girl Of Glass are flying the flag for old-school deathcore, channelling the raw, bass-heavy brutality of the genre's late-2000s heyday. Built around vocalist Jason Frazier and multi-instrumentalist and producer Landry Arredondo, and featuring members of Corpse Pile and Fromjoy, the band pair punishing breakdowns and savage vocals with songwriting rooted in grief, heartbreak and violence.
They first made their mark in 2024 with the Son Devouring His Saturn demo and a ferocious self-titled EP, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about names in the old-school deathcore revival. Debut album Some Words Were Never Enough (2026) raised the stakes further, revisiting early favourites "Son Devouring His Saturn" and "Heart Upon Stone" alongside new cuts such as "Third Knives The Charm". On stage, they've built a reputation for intense, high-energy shows, sharing bills with the likes of Peelingflesh in their home state. For anyone who misses the days of slams, drops and no-frills heaviness, Girl Of Glass are the real deal.
