Ginger Wildheart (AKA David Leslie Walls) is one of rock’s enduring stars. Whether he is working with The Wildhearts, his band or as a solo artist; he never fails to electrify the audience.
Following being sacked from Quireboys in 1989, Ginger had been drinking hard and fell down a flight of stairs. In his hands a bottle of Jack Daniels remained intact which would have surely sliced his wrists had it shattered. Deciding to commit all to performing, he set about forming the ultimate rock and roll band. Led by Ginger Wildheart, The Wildhearts came to be the epitome of rock and roll.
Giving incredibly fierce shows that make for compulsive viewing and with each new album continuing to melt faces - they still give the young pretenders a run for their money.
The South Shields songwriter has released twelve studio albums under various guises, including Valor Del Corazon (2005), Yoni (2007), Market Harbour (2008), 100% / 555% (2012), (2013) Ghost in the Tanglewood (2017), The Pessimist's Companion (2018), Headzapoppin (2019), Ginger Wildheart & the Sinners (2022), It Came From The North (2023), Teeth (2023) and BeBop Narrative A.D. (2023).
