Erasure are the BRIT and Ivor Novello-winning synth-pop duo behind "A Little Respect", "Sometimes" and more than three decades of euphoric electronic pop.
Formed in 1985, Erasure are one of Britain's best-loved synth-pop duos: songwriter and producer Vince Clarke alongside singer Andy Bell. From their debut Wonderland (1986) onwards they built an unbroken run of acclaimed albums and more than 25 million sales, turning out some of pop's most euphoric, life-affirming singles — "Sometimes", "A Little Respect", "Blue Savannah", "Chains of Love" and "Always" among them.
Winners of a BRIT Award and two Ivor Novellos, the pair have never lost their knack for a big, warm-hearted chorus, and their live shows remain gloriously theatrical, feel-good affairs. They've kept the quality high across the decades too, reaching the UK Top 5 with The Neon (2020), while both Bell and Clarke have pursued acclaimed solo projects of their own. Few groups make pop this joyful sound so effortless.
