Cinematic, socially conscious London rap — fearless, heartfelt and fiercely original.
Ceebo is a young, ambitious rapper and storyteller from Lambeth, South West London, known for his cinematic production, vivid lyricism and bold fusion of UK rap, Afrobeats, jazz and soul. Born into a Congolese-Angolan household, his upbringing steeped in gospel, zouk and Quiet Storm radio began to shape his musical outlook long before he ever picked up a mic. After beginning to record music around 2019, he quickly developed a reputation for socially conscious songwriting and sonic ambition. His 2024 mixtape LAMBETHNOTLA painted a raw and unflinching portrait of life in South London, tackling themes of identity, youth struggle and urban reality with lyrical honesty that’s drawn comparisons to artists like Kendrick Lamar.
Across 2025, Ceebo has built on that momentum with his latest project blair babies, a 16-track mixtape described by critics as one of the standout UK rap releases of the year. On it, he blends experimental beats, soulful melodies and sharp political commentary addressing issues like identity, austerity, escape and generational frustration with a clarity and fearlessness that’s rare. Whether delivering haunting, jazz-tinged instrumentals or gritty, street-level narratives, Ceebo uses his music as a powerful voice for his community and generation. With his growing profile, emotionally sharp lyricism and genre-blurring sound, he’s fast becoming one of the most compelling new voices shaping UK rap today.
