Deeply emotional post-hardcore shaped by honesty, atmosphere and cathartic power.
CASEY are an intense post-hardcore band from South Wales, known for their emotionally charged sound that blends elements of shoegaze, emo and atmospheric rock. Formed in 2014, the quintet — Tom Weaver (vocals), Liam Torrance (guitar), Toby Evans (guitar), Max Nicolai (drums) and Adam Smith (bass) — quickly made their mark with music that explores vulnerability, pain and catharsis through haunting melodies and powerful dynamic shifts. Their debut album Love Is Not Enough (2016) introduced their raw emotional honesty, while the follow-up Where I Go When I Am Sleeping (2018) deepened their sonic palette with more expansive textures and heart-wrenching storytelling.
After disbanding in 2019, CASEY’s return three years later was met with huge excitement from fans drawn to their authenticity and expressive intensity. Their live performances remain gripping and immersive, moving effortlessly between fragile quiet and explosive release. With a reputation for crafting music that speaks directly to the complexities of human emotion, CASEY continue to stand out as one of the most compelling and cathartic voices in UK alternative music.
