Butcher Brown is a contemporary jazz and funk band based in Richmond, Virginia, known for their energetic and eclectic sound. Formed in 2009, the band consists of Devonne Harris (keys), Corey Fonville (drums), Andrew Randazzo (bass), Marcus Tenney (trumpet/saxophone), and Morgan Burrs (guitar).
They blend elements of jazz, funk, hip-hop, and soul into their music, creating a vibrant and groove-oriented sound. Butcher Brown has released several albums and EPs, including Grown Folk (2012), All Purpose Music (2014), and Camden Session (2018), showcasing their improvisational skills and musical versatility.
