berlioz is a mysterious DJ and producer whose sound sits at the intersection of house music and jazz, blending warm grooves with improvisational spirit. Self-described as the “Matisse of house music”, he draws inspiration from classic jazz textures and soulful rhythms, shaping tracks that feel loose, expressive and quietly sophisticated. His approach favours feel and flow over excess, resulting in dance music that is as reflective as it is groove-led.
His debut EP jazz is for ordinary people (2023) introduced this distinctive aesthetic, earning attention for its understated confidence and musical depth. Tracks such as “deep in it”, “nyc in 1940”, “wash my sins away” and “miro” have become some of his most streamed releases, each highlighting his ability to merge jazz sensibilities with contemporary club production. With a sound rooted in atmosphere, restraint and timeless musical influence, berlioz continues to carve out a singular space within modern house music.
