About Aviana

Aviana (stylised in all caps) are a Swedish metalcore band from Gothenburg, formed in 2016. Their early line-up featured Marcus Vik (vocals), Marcus Heffler and Oscar Forsman (guitars), Sebastian Colque (bass) and Niclas Bergström (drums). After releasing their debut Polarize (2017), Vik departed and Joel Holmqvist stepped in as frontman, and over time he became the sole remaining official member. From there, Aviana’s identity evolved into something more mysterious and theatrical, with three masked live collaborators known as Death, Fear and Dark filling out the live line-up.

Their discography includes Polarize (2017), Epicenter (2019) and Corporation (2022). Across those releases, Aviana have developed a sound marked by crushing riffs, ambient textures, electronic elements and aggressive dynamics, pushing the boundaries of modern metalcore and exploring themes of mental displacement, existential conflict and emotional tension. Their singles “Heavy Feather,” “Obsession” and “Delirium” have drawn strong attention in the heavy scene, and their live presence is deliberately enigmatic, swelling from darkness into catharsis.
