Born in Texas, Alex began playing guitar and performing in rock and funk bands before discovering electronic production and developing a deep connection with Detroit and Berlin’s underground club cultures.
His path has taken him from working in Los Angeles studios alongside artists including Tyler, the Creator and Pharrell, to spending time at Detroit’s legendary Underground Resistance headquarters, where he further developed his production craft. Since emerging as a solo artist, Alex has released music through influential labels including BPitch Control, Trip Recordings, UFO Inc., Mama Told Ya, Boysnoize Records and Modeselektor. His music has been championed and played by artists including Richie Hawtin, Nina Kraviz, Ellen Allien, SPFDJ, Anetha, Bjarki and Patrick Mason.
