Formed in 2001, TEXTURES quickly became one of the most forward-thinking bands in progressive metal, blending complex rhythms with melodic depth and a fiercely DIY ethos. Their debut album Polars (2003) set the tone, earning wider recognition after its re-release and marking them out as innovators in the emerging technical metal scene. Releases such as Silhouettes (2008) and Dualism (2011) further refined their sound, helping to shape what would later be known as djent, while Phenotype (2016) showcased their continued evolution under Nuclear Blast.
Renowned for their dynamic live performances, TEXTURES have shared stages with major names including Meshuggah, Sepultura and Machine Head, while appearing at leading festivals such as Hellfest, Graspop and Lowlands. After disbanding in 2018, their absence left a clear gap in modern metal. Now reunited, the six-piece return with renewed energy, ready to reconnect with a global fanbase and reaffirm their place as one of Europe’s most influential heavy acts.
