This live performance brings the decade-long collaboration between Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith into an immersive journey through fragile landscapes, human histories, and the invisible forces that bind them.
At the heart of the performance are field recordings gathered by Stephan Crasneanscki across some of the planet’s most charged and vulnerable environments- from melting glaciers, to deserts, forests, and urban landscapes. Far from simply documenting these places, the recordings form a sonic architecture that surrounds the audience, carrying the textures of wind, ice, stone, water, animal presence, and human trace.
Within this shifting environment, Patti Smith’s voice and spoken word bring together literature, personal reflection, historical memory, and poetic attention. Her presence turns the performance into both a lament and an invocation, a call to listen more deeply to what is vanishing, what remains, and what still insists on being heard.
