Soho Poly
London’s leading Fringe theatre venue
Radical venue Soho Poly pioneered “lunchtime theatre”, aiming to remove the elitism of the arts by making it more inclusive and accessible. From the 70s onwards, it has been a vital platform for presenting the work of underrepresented playwrights and actors, particularly to women, people from ethnic minority backgrounds, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Independent Venue Week events at Soho Poly include Stories From The She-Punks: Screening, Performance and Q&A (Wednesday 31st January) and James And Jude Cook In Her Room “Songs And Fragments” (Friday 2nd February).
Electric Ballroom
The Camden club always buzzing with excitement
Electric Ballroom is the iconic Camden hotspot that first opened doors over 80 years ago. The North London 1,500 capacity venue has a rich legacy and was central to the Britpop scene in the mid-90s. It has seen performances from such greats as U2, The Clash, Joy Division, blur, The Smiths and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Look forward to and IVW shows with Pennsylvanian punk rockers The Menzingers on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd February.
Lafayette
The fresh London venue with great vibes
Having only opened in 2020, 600-capacity club Lafayette has already established a reputation for being the perfect place to see rising stars and major names in an intimate setting. Found right next to Kings Cross, you can enjoy live comedy sets from the stars on TV, the best performing artists on the live music circuit, exciting club nights and bespoke one-off cultural events.
