The London-born singer, songwriter, DJ and producer Elliot John Gleave adopted the stage name Example and quickly grabbed attention unleashing tracks through his own All The Chats label. He self-released the 7” version of "I Don't Want To" which was quickly championed by such heavyweight names as Pete Tong and Zane Lowe when it dropped at the beginning of 2006 followed by his debut album What We Made.

Celebrity backing saw the fledgling star’s career explode, combined with massive online support, leading to a signing with Ministry of Sound in-house label Data Records for the recording and release of Won't Go Quietly. Featuring such colossal anthems as "Kickstarts", "Won't Go Quietly" and "Watch the Sun Come Up" –  Example’s second LP would truly announce his arrival and set the scene for even greater success!

In 2011, Example unveiled his best-selling record Playing in the Shadows. Preceded by the smash hit singles "Changed the Way You Kiss Me" and "Stay Awake”, the third record would be centred around dance music, incorporating more aspects of dubstep and hit No. 1 in both the UK Albums and UK Dance Albums charts. It has since been certified Platinum.

Example has continued to be a major player, thrilling fans with later titles The Evolution of Man, Live Life Living, Bangers & Ballads, Some Nights Last for Days and latest offering We May Grow Old But We Never Grow Up. Following on from a tour that saw him sell over 25,000 tickets plus prominent appearances at Glastonbury, Creamfields, We Are FSTVL plus The Big Festival, he now looks forward to even bigger things in 2024.
