SINGLE

RINA SAWAYAMA – “Chosen Family” (with Elton John)

The new sound of British pop; Tokyo-born Rina Sawayama has already impressed with a string of incredible singles and her lauded EP Rina and debut album SAWAYAMA. Now, she teams up with true legend Elton John to duet on a new version of her powerful song “Chosen Family”; an emotive anthem championing gay rights and the changing nature of family in the modern age.

It was such a joy and honour to rework ‘Chosen Family’ with the legendary Elton John. The song means so much to both of us, and recording it together was such a special experience I will never forget. I got shivers when I heard his voice through the monitor and became emotional when he added the piano parts.

Elton has been such a huge supporter from before the album, and when we finally met to record this song we clicked from the get go. I hope people can hear the magic!

See rising star Rina Sawayama when she plays her shows in November, tickets on sale with Gigantic and already selling out fast!

Rina Sawayama tickets are currently available.

ALBUM

LOW ISLANDIf You Could Have It All Again

Taking a sophisticated approach to indie pop \ electronica, breakthrough band Low Island are already courting comparisons with the likes of Radiohead and LCD Soundsystem for their dance informed avant-garde sound which has seen them sign to Emotional Interference for the release of debut album If You Could Have It All Again.

Their first full-length saw the band move to their very own makeshift studio hidden in rural France where they were able to fully focus entirely on their music which they self-recorded, produced and engineered independently. And the results speak for themselves, as they have succeeded in capturing that spark of magic which has already attracting a growing number of fans from their magnificent live performances.

Low Island will be appearing at Dot To Dot festival which hits Bristol on Saturday 25th, then Nottingham on Sunday 26th of September. They will also be playing their own headline shows in the same month.

Low Island tickets are currently available.
