NEW ALBUMS
EVERYTHING EVERYTHING – ‘Re-Animator’
Whilst experimental art pop band Everything Everything have already enjoyed huge success for their synth-based sound, previously shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize and nominated an incredible five times for the esteemed Ivor Novello Awards. This time round on fifth album ‘Re-Animator’, they have opted to streamline their style and focus more on the melodies as they explore the work of psychologist Julian Jaynes and place more emphasis on the lyrics.
“This idea of the divided self-captivated me. Jaynes attributes this to the origin of gods, people ascribing deity status to this voice they could hear in their head. All this blew my mind, and I started thinking of ways I could make this a central concept. It really touched me. So, across the whole record there are millions or references to this theory – to having a split brain, two selves, hearing voices.” – Jonathan Higgs
Everything Everything will be showcasing their new material plus playing hits from right across their career when they play the iconic venue Rock City in Nottingham on Friday 19th of March.

DOVES – ‘The Universal Want’
It’s been a good long wait for fans of Doves. Now, over a decade since their last LP, the anthemic indie champions are once again thrilling listeners with brand-new album ‘The Universal Want’ which sees them expand on their signature sound which is melancholic and yet rousing.
Re-emerging from a hiatus that has lasted ten years, the Manchester based band have re-energised and recaptured the magic that saw them become a definitive force in the new millennium.
