Embracing the traditions of the past whilst embracing her individualty; ‘She’ is the new single from Danish musician Winnie Raeder which continues to exhibit her incredible powers as a songwriter and explores the female experience:
"It felt really interesting to pair a traditional folk sound with a song written for and sung by a woman. We kept the language poetic and romantic, and the song almost wrote itself - it was a lovely song to write."

AVALANCHE PARTY – ‘Rebel Forever’
As an uncaring and ineffectual new Prime minister pushes us into a new era of harsh Tory rule, the gulf between the rich and poor grows wider, the Far Right rise in number and BREXIT has left the UK more bitterly divided than at any other time in a generation; it’s hard to take hope. Fortunately, Yorkshire rock and roll provocateurs are back with their new song ‘Rebel Forever’.
A haunting collapse into garage rock, ‘Rebel Forever’ is accompanied by a suitably sinister video with a psychedelic cinematic quality:

LOUISE – ‘Not The Same’
Louise continues to strike out with new single ‘Not The Same’ ahead of the upcoming album ‘Heavy Love’ which everyone is talking about. The former Eternal singer broke from the 90’s girl band to become a huge star in her own right before taking time out for herself and her family.
‘Heavy Love’ will be her first album in twenty years and features the powerful single ‘Not The Same’ which is a real return to form for the superstar.

KREPT & KONAN – ‘Revenge Is Sweet’
When dynamic South London grime duo Krept & Konan first announced ‘Revenge Is Sweet’, we knew we were in for something special; "This album has so much meaning and i cant wait for you to hear this and understand. I wont give too much away. Your boys are back. Real music." Sure, we knew it was going to be good – but their follow up record to debut album ‘The Long Way Home’ (which became the highest charting British Rap album in UK chart history after coming straight in at No. 2) is pure fire!
Things get personal on ‘Revenge Is Sweet’ as the pair publicly air their grievances and talk about the issues effecting their music including the loss of Cadet and their business partner in Crepes and Cones; "We made this album to answer a lot of things. It has the bars, the punchlines and the songs for everyone with special features. We just want the music to do the talking."
The boys have a massive tour planned early next year which includes taking over The O2 Arena before smashing it all around the UK.

FINK – ‘Bloom Innocent’
Innovative songwriter Fin Greenall is better known as Fink who now returns with his extraordinary seventh studio album ‘Bloom Innocent’. There may only by eight tracks on the album, but each song is a length exploration of emotion and evocative storytelling as accompanied by tight acoustic guitar, delicate piano and expressive vocals.
Shades of folk are combined with experimental forays into electronica and neo classical which Fink mostly recorded in his Berlin home studio and co-produced with Flood, all adding to a record which feels distinctly tactile and conjures images of being delightfully lost in a dark wood.
You can see Fink play new tracks from ‘Bloom Innocent’ plus classic material when he plays headline sets at Roundhouse in London and O2 Manchester Ritz this month. Tickets are on sale with Gigantic and expect to sell – fast!

LEIF VOLLEBEKK – ‘New Ways’
Polaris Prize finalist Leif Vollebekk has recruited an impressive array of stars to collaborate with when recording his latest LP ‘New Ways ’at Los Angeles’ Capitol Studios and Studio Breakglass at his Montreal hometown, including drummer Homer Steinweiss (Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse), Olivier Fairfield (Timber Timbre) and Chris Allen. The result is a stunning record and yet another creative highlight from the Canadian songwriter.
‘New Ways’ is a touching record packed full of beautiful moments, Vollebekk looks for his inspiration and the beauty in his surroundings and succeeds in translating this into a wonderful indie folk record with real mainstream appeal.
