One of Europe's finest blues singers comes to The Oast, Rainham, Kent for a very special night — celebrating 100 years since the birth of the man who invented rock and roll.
Chad Strentz is the UK's award-winning best blues singer, best known as the longtime frontman of the multi-award-winning Paul Lamb & the King Snakes. He is currently portraying Chuck Berry in the theatrical show Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll — and on Saturday 10th October 2026, almost exactly one hundred years to the week since Chuck Berry was born, he brings that energy, authority, and passion to the intimate stage of The Oast.
Backed by The Chadillacs — a powerhouse lineup of some of Europe's most experienced blues and rock and roll musicians — expect Chuck Berry classics alongside originals and classic R'n'B covers, delivered with the kind of authenticity that only comes from a lifetime in the music.
Chad has shared stages with Jeff Beck, Jools Holland, Pinetop Perkins, and Lazy Lester. BBC Radio Suffolk called him "a vocal tour de force from a man whose time has finally come." Blues in Britain praised his "vocal and guitar clarity close to perfect."
This is an intimate venue with limited capacity. Advanced tickets £20 — door price £25.
