BIG HORIZON are Mike Stevens, Iain Hornal, Donavan Hepburn, Jo Webb and Lee Pomeroy – five world-class musicians who have spent years performing on some of the biggest stages in the world. Together they have been the backbone of Jeff Lynne's ELO since 2013 and Take That's live band since 2006, as well as working with artists including Annie Lennox, Adele, 10cc and Yes. They also performed as the house band for the Queen's Golden Jubilee Concert in 2012.
Born out of the downtime during the 2020 lockdown, BIG HORIZON gave these lifelong friends the opportunity to create the music they had always wanted to make together. Drawing inspiration from the golden era of classic pop, Yacht Rock, soulful harmonies and impeccable musicianship, the band has crafted a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.
Their acclaimed debut album, In The Beginning, introduced audiences to soaring harmonies, memorable melodies and exceptional musicianship, earning praise from fans of classic West Coast rock and sophisticated pop alike.
Fresh from spending the summer touring stadiums with Take That on their Circus Tour as the band's live musicians, BIG HORIZON are returning to the stage for three exclusive UK headline shows this October.
The band return to The Auto Barn, Winchester on 9 October, make their long-awaited Norwich debut at The Adrian Flux Waterfront Studio on 15 October, before rounding off the run with their biggest headline show to date at The Lower Third in the heart of London's Soho on 11 October.
Fans can expect to hear favourites from In The Beginning, alongside brand new material that offers a glimpse of what's next for the band. And, given the members' long association with Jeff Lynne's ELO, don't be surprised if a classic ELO favourite finds its way into the set.
With decades of collective experience, world-class musicianship and a genuine love of performing together, BIG HORIZON continue to prove that this isn't just another side project—it's a band built on friendship, exceptional songs and unforgettable live performances.
